Re: Coffee?
Think it could've done with the cup 'placed' a little more in the frame, say, in the middle of one of those panels behind

Re: Coffee?
I like it, i think the cup is about right as it drawers your eye into the image and then on to the pannel reflections. It's different

Re: Coffee?
You went to Bath, the city with arguably the finest architecture in Britain and you took a photo of.... a paper coffee cup! LOL, takes all sorts
![]() It's ok but that's about it and to be honest Jack I've come to expect better from you! I can see a vague attraction to the lines here but I think it's a bit 'cobbled together' and doesn't convey anything meaningful that is striking me. I definitely agree that the cup could be better placed, having the fence coming out of it isn't good, a little thought would've placed that between the fence posts. I am not sure whether the legs reflected in the panels are intended or not but they don't seem to say anything or help to contextualise the image. I know this sounds a bit harsh but only because I know what you are capable of! ![]() Cheers, Rob

Re: Coffee?
JACK, I HAVE TO SAY I DO NOT SEE THE RELEVANCE OF IT BEING IN BATH. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN ANYWHERE. BATH IS RENOWNED FOR IT'S ROMAN HISTORY AND GREAT ARCHITECTURE AND YOU TAKE A SHOT OF A CUP. YOU NORMALLY TAKE SOME GOOD STUFF. NO DISRESPECT JACK BUT, HAVING SPENT YOUR TIME IN BATH I THINK YOU COULD HAVE GOT SOME GREAT SHOTS.

Also, I like the cup there, and the legs were intentional, but I don't like this shot. I posted it cos I was told it was good by an opinion I wasn't sure I trusted, and it was a bit of a game, but I didn't say anything about that just to get unbiased feedback Quote:
Also, this was with me old bridge camera, so I was limited for creative options, and photography wasn't my main reason for coming. I personally much prefer the 'window art' shot in sharing, but as I said, this was an experiment.

Re: Coffee?
Would have been better if maybe a person was sitting down and resting as the legs walked across the panels,,a nice rest and a cup of java is a good thing. If that is what your friend was thinking, it needed to be better explained maybe just a little.

Re: Coffee?
If it was taken in a Bath where is the bar of soap and the rubber duck then ?
![]() Sorry,, i think the concept of the shot is good and can see what is it suppose to reflect, i think if the glass panels on the fence were of full size and we were able to see all the body shapes in the reflections it may have worked,,

Re: Coffee?
I can see how you've got the lines of the table and fence/panel/thingy coming to put at the cup but:

Re: Coffee?
The shot is too busy. Have to agree with everyone else. Minor improvement if you crop the top down to the top of the inner railing (not the blue one) i.e. cropping out the foliage which just serves to add confusion to the image.
I can see how you might've seen a possible image somewhere in there Jack, but I really think you had to be there
