Re: Coloured delights
Lovely sky but I'd have preferred some hint of detail in those dark silhouettes to make them less heavy

Re: Coloured delights
I have a simular view out my picture window,,but it has some wires right over the top of the trees. What I like about this picture is that you didn't fall out the window and you can watch for the next beautiful sunset,,,I am temped to catch the off greenish yellow light that we get once in awhile. The whole sky lights up and it's really hard to beleave what you are seeing. I think this sort of framing is just right as it is really all about the sky and the dark surroundings of creeping shadows.

Re: Coloured delights
Thanks Boofers!
![]() The sky just caught my eye so that was my focus when trying to capture it. Is there a way to get more tones in the darkness, or is tat a job for photoshop? |

Re: Coloured delights
I would change the tempeture setting on a manual white balance setting to change the tint of colors in the sky. Slower shutter speeds have helpped me when it isn't totally dark to act like a fill flash, but that was when the sky was just used for background and didn't matter more then a better exposed shadow. Sometime go out and use your flash and different flash settings, on my camera using the flash will act like a fill flash if I cover the flash with some sort of defuser, that way I don't have to put on an external flash and set better settings. I would try the shutter speeds first.
easier.
