nice effort, good exposure etc but I feel that this shot needs eye contact

Fun idea and well enough handled. It's not doing anything for me, a bit too far-fetched for me. I know it's not designed to be a serious photo, just doesn't appeal, but that's down to taste.

Eye contact with the viewer might help, not sure it would make an awful lot of difference but still a bit of fun

The problem, I think, is that this picture just doesn't hang together.

The juxtaposition of the blue hair and rings with the "teacher"-like glasses and demur look do not go together.

Now, because I am wishy-washy, perhaps it is just this incongruety that will make the viewer look twice
