I don’t normally favour placing the sun in the centre of a picture as in the majority of cases it splits the picture and ruins the flow, however in this case I feel the placement works fine. The subtle warm tones in the sky are well balanced against the sun which you have managed not to over expose. Overall a good shot that most of us would have had a crack at ourselves if we had been there.

I agree with Steve on this one - placing the sun at the centre's worked a lot better than if it had been on one of the vertical thirds. It's a cracking picture that I would have been very pleased to have taken.
