a crane

of the feathered variety........
i wanted to do smoething a little different from the run of the mill bird shots ( not that there is anything wrong with them! )
but what helped me in my choice of crop here was the fact that there was a bit of fence running across the top of the birds neck..... very out of focus but to me was still pretty evident, and the damn bird was not being very cooperative and moving even after sitting patiently for about 20 minutes...... so......... what do u think

Re: a crane

It's a shame you had to crop so much of the bottom, the beak is a bit too low down. I'd also try and lighten it a bit as it seems a bit dark. In saying that you've caught some great colours in the eye and feathers.

Re: a crane

Hi Fi

At least on my screen the birds head blends into the black bg and loses all definition. Probably my dang screen again.

Agree with the Hack on cropping. But you had no choice with uncooperative subject. That is why I was doing glamour
