dandelion

This is my first 'studio' shot. Taken on the kitchen table on a sheet of black card, using natural light from the left with a white card to the right to spread the light.
Camera is a canon powershot pro1 at f8.0 and 1/8 on a tripod. Im not sure what other details are useful? but have details if needed

Hi there, it's difficult to critique at this size, could you post it at full size, ie 1000 pixels on the longest side and 200k file size.

Edit - Thats a better size, thanks Mark.

Some nice details here & I see you've converted it to B&W. I think it would be better to have your subject further away from the background & use a wider apeture to lose the detail in it. Also crop a bit closer to the dandelion to get rid of the blank areas of the picture. I think I would have kept the colour in this as the splash of green on the stem would have given a bit of colour.
