Another great shot - with some cropping that thing could seriously confuse people about what they are looking at - and from where

Thats a seriously good shot!!!
Lots of interesting details to look at yest not cluttered. I like the uniform lines and angles too. ![]() I already suspect I know the answer but your crop is not central, we can currently see more of the building on the right, I am assuming it was done to include the cloud in the sky and also because the other side of the building (aquarium if I am not mistaken) is not as well lit by the natural light? |

Just fabulous.
I actually find it quite hard to look at, there is something almost disturbing about the angles but I can't seem to take my eyes off it. Brilliant!! |

With subjects like this, it's tempting to really kick the a*se out of it, just to produce a really graphic effect - this is just a tweak in levels.
In the '80's, artists like Brendan Nieland charged 10's of thousands for paintings looking like this - his technique? Shoot a photo on slide film, project it massive onto the canvas and trace it off, then paint it copying the colours exactly. Art? Dunno, but he's minted now... ![]() BTW - I really like this shot - I'd hang it on a wall...

Thanks for all the comments everyone. They're all really appreciated
![]() Arkady, I see what you mean, your version has much more impact than the original. Looking at that for a while then going back to mine makes mine look too bright. I really like yours. Excellent stuff, another tip to cherish. |

All it's done is increase contrast slightly - this also makes the colours look more saturated. It serves to give the image a bit of 'punch' and is the easiest of all adjustments to make and surprisingly the one most often overlooked.
It's a belter of a shot, as are the others you posted from the same shoot. That blue sky begs to be really saturated and these structures look as though they're jumping out of the frame at you. |

A bit too extream on the colour for me, personally I'd like something a little inbetween but that's just my taste. Outstanding pic in the first place |
