Derwent Valley again...
I was 21 again yesterday so went out to the Derwent Valley where the sun was making a decent attempt to penetrate the haze. Here's a sample of the 140 pics I took
- all with the Tamron 18-200 lens because the sherpas were on strike. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comments welcome, as always! (Yes, the last one is a fake. )

Some nice shots there, when the water is coming over the dam wall it looks well impresive. I should have gone yesterday too but was out there this afternoon and it was really grim.

Nice shots. I like the second one - that diagonal running bottom right to top left is strong and carries the eye into the tower. I also like the Canada Geese on the water - the almost black water compliments them nicely.
Edit.... the other pic with the Canada's is nice too there's a strong diagonal working there formed by their two heads which could be stronger perhaps by cropping the bottom a little. |

Thanks guys. Yes, I think a little cropped off the bottom of the first 'geese' pic could improve it - ta CT for the suggestion.
