Deuce Coup
You don't have to be into cars to appreciate the artistry that goes into restoring one of these. Hope this shot does it justice.

Re: Deuce Coup
Hah! Having just defended burned highlights, maybe I shouldn't mention - but they do dominate the shot!
![]() But I do like the comp and subject! ![]() |

Re: Deuce Coup
Good shot. Like the symmetry. The blown chrome highlights add to the feeling.

Re: Deuce Coup
Like the symmetry, the focus and the colours. The only bit that doesn't work for me, as someone who doesn't overly appreciate the classic look of cars despite enjoying seeing them, is the strong black area at the top of the picture which pushes down and makes it feel heavy. For people into 'Deuce Coupes' that is possibly a classic part of their look but simply looking at it as a photo, it is a bit too heavy up top. The rest is great.

Re: Deuce Coup
Here was a shot that was just screaming for a polarizer and, of course, I didn't have one with me. A cp might have helped with the blown highlights and also handled the glare on the windshield (wind screen?).
My question - as it is, is there anything that can be done with the glare on the windshield and that bit of brightness on the RHS of the rearwindow that you can see through the windshield? Rob - this car has a "chopped" roof which means the windscreen is probably only about 10 inches high. The black across the top of the shot is the roof of the car. You are right in that folks who are into these cars would recognise that and appreciate it as it looks. I understand what you mean about being top heavy but, in this case, it probably works for the audience that would buy this kind of photo.
