Fi, I like the idea and the monochrome effect works well. The only thing that concerns me is the table top (if that is what it is) grain and joints run vertically. I feel it would work better if they ran slightly diagonally.

Sometimes when all the lines in a shot are horizontal or vertical, I'll tilt the camera to get the diagonal I want.
Quite a glare off that tabletop, Otherwise, I like the look of the old worn table and dominoes. Very nice.

Hi Fi

There was something that bothered me about the composition too. Perhaps it was the vertical lines of the table. Moving the cam might have changed that. Also, a shot from straight above may have made a more geometric and perhaps dynamic image.
