Re: dragon fly
It does have a decidedly dead look about it!

Re: dragon fly
Well, I believe it's still alive! They do behave weirdly at times; take off like a rocket one time and then sit immobile at others. My last allowed me to virtually prod it for over 15 mins before it tired of the game!
I'd prefer more of the dragon, with more DOF, but what there is looks good! ![]() |

Re: dragon fly
Great shot! A different kind of concept. Perhaps more DOF would be good, but not something that leapt out at me.

Re: dragon fly
It's a great close-up of the head - dead or alive.
![]() The blurred foreground at the right hand side detracts from it a little IMO, so I might consider cropping a little off the bottom. ![]() |

Re: dragon fly
Good shot but feel a bit more dof would have helped, (only my opinion)

Re: dragon fly
Good shot, looks like he's sunning himself, they're generally pretty sluggish if it's early or been overcast.
Nice angle and difficult to get much more of him in focus when he's facing you. I'd have like to have seen a bit more detail / contrast in the face. cheers Dan |

Re: dragon fly
I like this, it's very different but doesn't look dead, good work Fi.
I agree with Silk that it could bear a bit of cropping at the bottom. I also felt there was something missing in the 'face' as it is very dark on your original. I have given this a lift to bring out more detail and allow the face to be a stronger focal point. See what you think. Cheers, Rob ![]() |
