Re: Durdle Door Final
magic - you've left best one for final show
. i really like those lens flares (i'm not sure of it's name, i mean those light rings), colours are great and good composition. i't looks like a shot for postcard or calendar.

Sorry, I meant to add, that overshadows your previous submissions.

Re: Durdle Door Final
This one is just gorgeous Stu
Overcooked? No, except for the lens flares, I think just the one around the sun should do, I don't think the others are necessary or add anything extra, and maybe they even look a bit 'placed' + are a little distracting. A really lovely image Stu, which you captured very well. There's lots of interest without it being too busy. Excellent work! |

Re: Durdle Door Final
Brilliant image, although the lens flare is too clealy fake
What about one without? I do think though that this is an amazing capture, and the best you've shown us so far from here |

Re: Durdle Door Final
I prefer the second shot Stu without the lens flare.
I've never quite understood why we all spend so much time trying to avoid lens flare and then use PS filters to put them in LOL. Seriously though, whilst the flaring is appealling to some and this is all down to taste, I far prefer the lovely one you did with the moon in shot and no flaring, that is an absolute beauty for me. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Durdle Door Final
Cheers for your comments guys. I couldn't quite make up my mind on the lens flare but was an interesting experiment

Re: Durdle Door Final
I can see what you were aiming to do with the flare, but I think that being able to see the beautiful subtlety of the orange/pink cloud above adds just as much as the flare could have, so I prefer the second one

Re: Durdle Door Final
Another vote for the second version. The image has everything it needs to grab and hold your attention and I love the crop. All it needs is a really nice mount and framing well and it would look superb on your wall

Re: Durdle Door Final
my vote goes for first one - i don't mind that it looks a little bit unreal, i like it. it looks like done in bryce or 3d studio max or cinema 4d or vue d'esprit or... but it's a photo!!!
