Eurostar

Wanted a day of photography. Yet again weather was pants, despite the weather people saying it would be a reasonable day.

Lighting improved slightly in the afternoon so i thought i'd go out for a couple of hours and try and get a picture of the Eurostar in action. Picked a spot I know quite well thinking the trains were fairly regular. Wrong. An hour and a bit later one went past in the right direction. In that time the light had begun to fade quite quickly and i had lost all feeling in my fingers.

Got one shot i am fairly happy with. Done two versions, one is just a crop and fiddle with the levels and the other is the same edit with radial blur added.

exif:-

1/2000 sec
F4.5
ISO 800
133mm

Not sure which one I prefer. Any opinions would be great.

A place called the Nashenden Valley, where the link runs along side the M2.

I quite like the 1st one but as said the second makes the eyes go rather funny

With the light being as dull as you say and all that grey about in the picture I think its come out rather well
