I've never seen a shot this close-in of a falcon taking another bird. That is one fine tuned bird hunting machine. I'm glad that I am not in his food chain

I was within 50 yards from the bird. I did crop this out of a larger photo as you stated. The object you see the bird catching is a dummy used to train injuried birds how to hunt again. It has a reward treat attached to it. This Harris Hawk was caught in a fence and substained a broked wing.
