First attempt at macro
Was bored the other day and tried my hand at some macro shots, personally I think this one came out ok. Taken with D50 and 55-200mm lens with Hoya close up dioptres.

I like that, good use of the limited depth of field, the lighting is spot on and there is plenty of interest like the texture of the flat surface.

Good first attempt, the colour is good and there are no reflections. The DOF is good for the subject and the texture is interesting.
Would make a good stock photography shot. |

Agree with everything said. It's extremely well done. If that's your first, you should focus on macro for a while and see what you come up with! Excellent stuff.
