First attempt at a multi-image panorama
This was my first attempt at a multiple-image panorama shot. Fairly new to the whole photography world and would appreciate any input on all aspects of the shot.
Image was originally 5 images taken with significant overlap, but found that using images 1,3, and 5 worked OK. 350D / 50mm f/1.8 lens in manual exposure mode.

Re: First attempt at a multi-image panorama
That is a really nice image. the pastel tones are great and the reflections give a nice balance.
The only thing I'd say is that it seems a bit soft around the tree line, but that might be the compression to post it. Did you sharpen it at all? Also, the tree in the centre is a bit of a black lump (technical term!), and the other trees with some light showing through have more interest. But overall a really nice shot that I guess you are quite rightly pleased with. |

Did you use sofeware to get you there, it looks straight to me. using your fifty at 1.8 is alittle iffy for this kinda shot,,,maybe f4/8,,,,.tripod. looks good though

Re: First attempt at a multi-image panorama
Sorry - just listed the kit used, but not the settings. 1/60s @ f/11, ISO 100 on a tripod. Used Canon PhotoStitch to align everything.

Re: First attempt at a multi-image panorama
A very good effort and a good finished image.
My only crit is that the left third is noticeably softer than the right third.

I'm not 100% convinced myself of overall image sharpness. I focussed manually for the image and I think I must have been off by a bit. There has been some sharpening applied via Photoshop UnSharp Mask, but any more introduced too much unwanted noise and halos.
