Re: first experiment
I guess men's perception re: likes + dislikes doesn't change with their mood then
and don't you dare tell me that men don't have moods ![]() Quote:
but I have found in the past that when I seem to be the only one in the thread who feels a certain way about a particular image, everyone seems to gang up on me <violins>, so that I feel I should not have expressed my feeling about the shot in the first place (i.e. people's comments to the effect that my opinion was "wrong") I wasn't going to fall into that trap here ![]() Edit: Of course, that's not the reason I didn't give you a full critique early on in the thread; as I said, I wasn't actually sure how I felt about the image at first. But seeing that everyone had nothing but praise for the image, I probably would not have bothered raising any negative points I might've felt about it, had you not said that you'd gone off the image anyway LOL

Re: first experiment
As photos are art, nobody has the 'right' or 'wrong' opinion. That is the beauty of art! What one likes, another won't and vice versa.
Some people do tend to forget that and post comments as though their way is the only right way and then it might get people's backs up (NOT saying that of your comments Charlotte, you know that! ) but as long as we all recognise that our opinions are simply as we see them, we can all enjoy the feedback from each other ![]() Cheers, Rob PS I still prefer it without the lens flare and anyone who disagrees is very silly

![]() Not a train smash, but it happens - and thankfully not a lot - and I'm not saying I've never made anyone feel that their opinion must surely be wrong but on the other side of the coin, anyone who has been on the receiving end will agree with me ... or else ![]() Quote:

Re: first experiment
OK, Back to the image.
I have a question for you Fi, Did you process the sky and the light house separately? the reason I ask is because of the halo around the lighthouse. |

Re: first experiment
nope sotelo, the halo is a result of the solarisation filter, the whole image was processed the same. I kinda liked the halo on this occasion, i know normally it would have been a no no straight away but i thought it kinda suited the image this time round.

Re: first experiment
If it was a solarisation filter then the halos (mackie lines in olden days terms) should be there....
