Re: First upload - Worthing Boats
Hi and welcome, i like the picture, but i would lighten it up abit more and maybe crop more off at the bottom, the boats are to central for me, but thats just my opinion hope you enjoy in here and i look forward to seeing more pic's off you. David

Re: First upload - Worthing Boats
I'm with David (sorry Angela <g>) as the horizon is a bit too central for me. I'd lose a bit off the bottom to drop the horizon a bit lower and accentuate the detail in the cumulus sky. I think the picture has plenty of depth anyway with the clouds and the distant horizon so cropping a bit (not all) of the shingle area (that's why I hate going to Brighton/Worthing beach.... no sand, but does make good pictures
) The lighting does need adjusting slightly, it's a bit flat and dark but that is easily changed. Good first show there, well done. Cheers, Rob

Re: First upload - Worthing Boats
I like the picture. I wouldn't do anything to it. The rocks came out good.

Re: First upload - Worthing Boats
Wonderful first pic.
I would do two things here. First take just a tad off the sand at the bottom. It doesn't do anything, and doing that would off-center the boat a bit more to make it more dynamic. And I would lighten it up just a bit and increase the contrast because as Rob said, it is a bit flat. But the effect of the image is great. Looking forward to seeing more from you. skip |

Re: First upload - Worthing Boats
Thanks for all your comments.
It can be a bit daunting, dipping your toe so to speak into the world of offering up your photos for comment, but all of you have made this very enjoyable for me. I take on board your comments and I suppose the answer to the various comments, is that it seems that some people like it , some like it but give constructive comments on how to improve it, and that no one dislikes it! Not a bad start! This will encourage me to do more, and for that I thank you. Steve |

Re: First upload - Worthing Boats
great first image, i would take bit more of top ,and leave bottom as i like the lead up.Maybe lighten up a tad, though these have been mentioned before.
Also would maybe have slight bit more of our right side of boat, but it all comes down to preference.I think you have a really nice composition .Well done |
