Frosted Leaf

Good shot, but from my point of view a bit too tight. If you cropped, try a wider image and decenter the leaf.
On here, the focus seems softl, and because of that, I don't get a real feeling for frost. Maybe in color it might work better because the frost would be white. Good tonal range here, though. skip |

I quite like this as it is, although Skip's comments are valid too. I do find the stalk leading from the centre of the leaf and going out of frame on the centre left a little distracting, leading my eye out of the shot, but the exposure and ligting look spot on.

I am imagining this as the large print you intended it to be and I want it for my wall! Great shot. I think the softening is because of the compression and the original is likely to be very sharp. Great work.

Thanks Rob. It does indeed look even more impressive than I initially hoped in large print. I printed it on an Epson 4000 on Kodak paper. Looks so sharp it almost hurts. Thanks for the comments.
