Re: Glenorchy Church interior

This reflects the rather austere symmetry of the church, except for the left hand chair which is a tad out of line, and the plaque on the right wall.

Your settings and focus are good. If you had the time it might have been interesting to wait until the bright sunlight shone through the stained glass and exposed for that if it didn't make the rest of the interior too dark. Just a thought. That is my problem, I never know if something will work until and do it and/or see it.

Re: Glenorchy Church interior

thanx Skip, i do have one with the light shining thru the window.. but it blacked out the rest of the church so i went for this one instead. i did consider cloning out the plaque, but i decided against it. not sure why

Re: Glenorchy Church interior

I like the symmetry of this pic Fi, works very well. No need to clone the plaque out, it doesn't intrude and it balances the steps on the other side. All in all, works very well.... could be a mono candidate too, would work nicely. I would perhaps try a duo-tone selective mono, leaving the stained-glass window and the two flags in colour and the rest in an appropriate toned mono. Worth a look?

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Glenorchy Church interior

definately worth a look Rob, i did think of mono but i felt it lost a lot of the warmth and richness in the wood...... i like the way you are thinking with selective duo. never done that before so its definately something to have a go at.......

thanx
