Re: Golden Fountain
Good DoF , Nice warm color,
like the way the top part of the water is "frozen", it reminds me of the Movie The Abyss. |

Re: Golden Fountain
I like the fountain and FG areas. I would clone ou the bright areas in the top left completely so that it doesn't distract from the main subject which I feel it does here.
The top of a fountain is the easiest part to 'freeze' while keeping a sense of movement in the flowing areas. This is because the water at the highest point is coming to a near halt, albeit only for a tiny moment, as it changes direction from going up to going down whereas the flow areas are moving and at some speed relative to the fixed point so you can get that nice blurring at the same time. Interesting work jack, keep it up. Rob

Re: Golden Fountain
Hi JM
I like the colour you are going for and can see why you went for it. I agree with rob that the composition is not quite completely there. The background seems a bit distracting from the overall subject you were going for. I can't also help but think that the image is suffering from slight camera shake,( Am not bothered about the blurred water effect with this), though it could just be my eyesight! . Did you use a tripod ? |

Re: Golden Fountain
I didn't, but I'm pretty sure there is no shake, there was plenty of light, and at fulll res to focal points seem sharp.
Agree about the background, but there wasn't much to work with. |
