I really like this one, good composition and the processing makes it look more like a painting than a photo, good work!

Thanks all going to Reading tomorow with me caravan stoping inside a red deer park so wont have to get up in the morning just open the window and crack some shots off {this could relate to my last post on dead birds in reply to sonsey about beeing armed}

It's been some time since I did a critique ...
Love the composition I like the lighting + where the shadows/highlights are falling, but it's a bit strong + contrasty for my taste, with the highlights being very stark. Also a bit too blue, i.e. saturated, bold, + I'd like the colour of the flower to be different from the colour of the BG, e.g. the whole flower could be in the pale blue hue which you used for the centre of the flower. Also perhaps the BG could be a bit softer (less opacity), because as it is it's dominating the image (for me). I like the concept, sawdust, very much, but I think I'd prefer a softer presentation for this one

aww Blue's my favorite color and this is like soo nice man!
geez, my comments are not worth much because am just a wannabe to be honest but the way it is, it's like so soothing you know. the color i guess, makes it real soothing. |

This is a perfect example of photoshopping with a purpose and with a great result. It is almost painting-like.
My only quibble is the over the top highlight on the most forward petal. And bugs, your comments are very worthwhile, no matter what your level of skills is. skip |
