Thoughts?...........I think 1/16th wasn't enough. If you had not told us this was a guitar, I might not have been able to tell from this shot.

Re: Headstock abstract

Yeah, way too dark, Jack, so it doesn't even really attain abstractedness

Re: Headstock abstract

It's supposed to just be an outline, with the star....perhaps my monitor reveals the details better than you lots', but I can actually see the outline, and do not think it too dark, even though it is (obviously) dark.
Ali, CC Pro is a program which lets you plug your camera into the comp and control is through the computer, and it transfers your images straight away, so you can see them large almost immediately.

Re: Headstock abstract

Sorry Jack, I'm with the others. My monitor is calibrated as well and even though I know exactly what a guitar headstock looks like I had to really struggle to work out the outline. I managed eventually but had you not said it was a headstock I wouldn't have seen it in a million years!

In actual fact, when I first started looking at the picture, I thought it was a dark shot of a clarinet or some such instrument standing on its bell end!

If you want this to work, you'll need to lift it considerably. Basically we should all be able to see what it is without reading the title for it to be effective. if not, we should see something there that we consider to be an abstract piece of art, I can't even see that here.

Back to the fretboard.... whoops, sorry, I mean drawing board

Cheers,
Rob
