Re: Hull Hut

lovely tones, fantastic dynamic range, I think you should be pleased Was it and HDR / composite?

EDIT: And perahps the hut should be more left? I can't see the space behind it doing anything much

Re: Hull Hut

Jack no HDR just a straight conversion to mono with a tweak in levels and a little USM.

Woody, there are loads of them on Holy Island on the way up to Lindisfarne castle

thanx Sotelo, thats pretty much how i felt, lol

Re: Hull Hut

Great shot and conversion but I do agree with Jack and think the hut should be just a little more left in the frame leaving some more space to the front and the open door.

Other than that, it's excellent

Re: Hull Hut

thanx everyone much appreciated, i can see what you are saying about more room at the front, but i dont want to lose the back either as i think it helps add depth and perspective,........... however its not much of a crop ( just a tidy up) so not much to play with.

Re: Hull Hut

One step back and point the camera a little more to the left Fiona...that's all we were saying

There is no substitute for getting it right at the time of the shoot.

Re: Hull Hut

At first I thought you had taken it at Hull LOL and I was going to tell you there at some at Lindisfarne. Well I think it's a really great shot both technically and compositionally. I know that site and I have concluded that you must be very agile. Did you get round to take a shot of the Rainbow Arch. If you did I would like to see it in "Picture Sharing" , if you can find the time.

I think you mean "point the camera a little more to the right", if I understood your previous comment correctly
