Humber Bridge

I don't seem to be able to get the tones right on this picture and I would be grateful for suggestions. The picture was scanned from a Bronica 6 x 4.5, FP4 negative taken around 1994. Also it is not as sharp as I would have expected. I know that I used a tripod and I think I would have used a cable release but I'm not sure.

Didn't know there was a five O'clock in the morning! I have tried darkening the sky and it goes very grainy. This surprises me because it was scanned from a medium format negative, FP4 developed in Ilfosol. I was hoping someone might inform me of possible deteriation of the negative over the years. Many years ago I did make a 20 in x 16 in print from this negative and it was fine, so I am really puzzled.

John.

It's not noise introduced in the scan is it?

Will return to this later - am being summoned to go to Ikea (in the wind and the rain). Oh, joy!

Well Markulous, I really don't know, but what I do know is that I have never had any trouble previously with excessive noise from scanning.
