Re: Imira
I'm sure she's a lovely girl and I don't have any problem with the way she looks but the lighting here has gone badly awry. She has two burnt out area on the face and a badly burnt out shoulder which blends to the white background. Same problem on her right hand, middle knuckle, and left foot which is more burnt out than visible.
Sorry Dave, not one of your better ones I'm afraid and I can't suggest a way to rescue it as the burnt out areas have no detail in them so there is nothing to get back by reducing the brightness in those areas. Have you got any other of the same girl? I am sure you must have ![]() Cheers, Rob

Re: Imira
I both agree with Rob, and also like the shot. At the end of the day, it is always down to personal taste, even the actual pose, where there is always lots of debate.
Generally, I like your shots, but some stand out when the variables fall towards my tastes. The ones I find 'OK' will float someone's boat too. You could give this to five different people and come up with five variations on the lighting/pose. All will be valid according to taste. Everone's a winner! |

Re: Imira
You were aiming for a shot with various parts of the model burnt out? Ok, new one on me but if it floats your boat then fine

Re: Imira
If the photographer has achieved what they are after, then it's a result
Lot's of fashions / trend magazines use this style of shot, so it has it's audience. Rob's comments are correct if after a perfectly exposed shot, but as with lots of photography there is always a different take on a shot, which is what makes it so interesting ![]() For me , I like the shot, so top job |
