I've got to say I like this one better . Crop is a bit tight, and being REALLY pickey - where her hemline has slid on her right leg and has ended up inside out, it might have neen better for a controlled placement/ruched up to where it is now, just to prevent the inside out that tends to catch my eye as it is, well, inside out! (and a lighter shade).

I think it is an excellent shot with one light, and the dark backround works better for me too.

LOL, thanks David, yes this is definitely much more to my liking I agree with the comments Graham has made, particularly the rather tight crop, particularly near the head. But that is minor, the look is very pleasant indeed.

Nothing to do with your photography here, just one very minor niggle and it could easily be just me being picky so feel free to ignore it.... Imira's left hand looks like she has lost half a finger because of the way she is holding it. It's funny how we all notice different things, that was something that hit me straight away but others might not even notice it at all. Her right hand is ok though the position does sort of feel like she is clawing on to her leg rather than just resting it. But as I say, they are minor issues. The lighting is much easier on the eye. Mind you, I am happy enough with bright lighting as well, it's just that on the other one it was too OTT with so many bunrt out hotspots.

I did notice that about her finger but, not until i was p/shooping it, i was disappointed i missed it, so good shout Rob. might have none i culdn't get away with it on here. lol

Why not clone some of the fabric design into that 'inside out' bit of the dress. It is not unreasonable that the fabric be the same on both sides and it would definitely fix the visual problem that the light area causes.

Hi David

The first thing that struck me was the tight crop around Imira's head. It seems as though she is ducking to avoid being hit by the frame .

It seems like the shot has some tension because the pose is just a bit unnatural and perhaps uncomfortable. I get the feeling that Imira is sort of trying to hold her balance on her left hip, and grabbing a bit at her knee to help her.

Perhaps that is what you were aiming for.

I envy you your supply of models. Do you pay them? Do they pay you? Or do you do a tpf/cd?
