Re: Infra-red in PS

Interesting picture once again. I am just not sure how to critique it as a photograph. The 'glow' around the characters works ok but not around the stones as it is only around the top parts. If they were glowing at all, the whole stone would glow, not just the top edge. Maybe need to go for a tighter cut out of the stones from the original sky in order to get rid of that. It's hard to appreciate the IR effect as the only place this is noticeable is the darkened sky. The stones look just like stones in a normally lit shot.

I'll be interested to read what others think of this.

Rob

I kind of like this. But the halo effect is disconcerting, and detracts from the sharp contrasts in the statues. Is it from post processing?

In terms of composition, I don't like the stone on the right. It draws me away from the statues, and you don't need that FG anchor.

So, lets see more IR.

Les,

I like this shot, I have to agree with Skip the halo effect is disconcerting and kind of at odds with the rest of the image

I do find the very bright part of the plinth in the bottom left of the image a bit 'overcooked'

Is it me or are those 'stones' clipped trees
