Re: Iron and lace
I like the idea,. couple of thoughts (more personal pref than anything else) I would try adding a little more contrast and also see where the top 'spoke' is not parallel with the top of the frame,. have played to try and show what I am thinking..

Re: Iron and lace
This is a well-observed abstract image showing contrast of colour and texture. The flat-planed image is ok but for me I'd like to show depth as well so I'd like to have seen a shot capturing the same area but from a lower angle to allow the narrowing lines to act as perspective lines receding into the distance. This would accentuate the texture of the seedlings and also allow for the use of differential focusing to allow it to blur gently as it recedes.
But working with this image as has been presented, i like it very much. I don't think the rotation has helped as it has made it a bit more 'normal' and perhaps could be a bit cliched but I entirely agree with what Silver has done with that last 'spoke' to align it with the edge and give the image a sense of balance and completion. Well done for seeing this shot and for what you have presented here. cheers, Rob

Re: Iron and lace
Taking Silver's shot one stage further, I gave it a little more oomph!
![]() I do enjoy a good abstract - the art is in finding one of the many in everyday objects and lifting it above the mundane - and I think you've succeeded here!
