Japanese Acer and Woman
This shot was taken on a Fuji compact when I had very little knowledge of photography so do be gentle!
For me this picture respresents the feminine delicacy and intimacy. ![]() |

Re: Japanese Acer and Woman
a good start. I would prefer to see the girls face but you take the photo so compose how you see fit. Keep shooting and posting.

Re: Japanese Acer and Woman
I think it's a good shot. Lots of things I would have done differently but that's subjective of course.
Main point that bugs me is the diagonal line (top of the wall?) towards the top with the lamp in the corner. It would have worked better with a consistent background but that is not always something you can fix. |

Re: Japanese Acer and Woman
Good idea, agree with whats been said. When I first starting using a digital, my brother inlaw told me to make sure I shot more then one, shoot lots of pictures. Now years later I remember those shots I would like to take again and when the time presents it self.

Re: Japanese Acer and Woman
Unfortunately this was one of those second-late-and-it's-gone moments so made the most of it (almost). We were at a friends BBQ and I happened to turn around to see her in that position for a second or two (*snap*) so didn't really want to ask her to pose again!
![]() Thanks for the advice chaps, I see what you mean about the background, until now that line/lamp hadn't bothered me! Also boofers I'm a advocate of taking 3 or 4 shots at a time, I've generally always used digital so I'm happy to snap away. The only problem is when you find that after 2 hours walking around Manchester with a 4Gb card you need to go through and delete duplicates to free up space. Very frustrating ![]() |
