Re: Jim
Cheers Stepheno, the bright cheeks and forehead were bothering me but all my fixes for it made the conversion worse, thanx for the critique

Re: Jim
Captured the moment well. Sometimes we have to worry less about all the technicalities of the shot & just capture the persons character .... which you've done here

Re: Jim
Nowt wrong with the Stu, it is full of character and life. Who cares whether it is symettrical or whatever when it is a great shot like this

Re: Jim
It's a good portrait Stu, in a passport-style kind of way. The pin-sharpness of it gives it a bit of a clinical look, and draws attention to his eyes - which is good as they're nice + sharp (maybe a bit too sharp? i.e. the irises look almost transparent they've been sharpened so much) - and to his chin 'cos there's quite a lot of grey in his beard which has been highlighted by the sharpening process, as have his 'crows feet' which are not unattractive I merely mention them 'cos theyve been made prominent by the sharpening. All in all, I guess I'm saying it's maybe a bit oversharpened, but still a very good portrait
