Joel - a rare portrait from me!

A very rare depature for me, I am not a very experienced portrait person at all. I just thought this one of my friend's son captured his sparkling eyes so nicely I thought it was worth showing. Some will not be so keen on the desaturated background but I feel it works ok here.

Your thoughts are very welcome.

its a lvoely candid shot and it does indeed show off those big blue eyes! the only bit om not sure about is the left hand side of his head, it looks a bit too blurred compared to the rest or is it just my eyes?

a lovely shot tho nice and crisp and sharp.

It was very much a grab shot, as is necessary for most of these candid shots, but he was stood half in light and half in shadow so the side of his head is probably where I was a bit careless in selecting the BG to mono it. I did apply a touch of blurring to the BG also so almost certainly is where the problem arose. Oh well, that's life

Had you not said it was a desaturated bg, I probably would not have noticed. Well executed.
