Re: Kerrie
I like this one other than the pose, her right arm is achieving nothing but a distraction, and her left arm is cutting the lines of her body, and judging by the pose, those specific lines are the ones you are trying to highlight..? Do you have any of just her face? Her eyes look amazing!

Re: Kerrie
Thanks david, is there post work on those eye's? They are bloody amazing!
Crop a touch off the bottom of the first of the new ones, and it'd be a great shot! I realise you don't want to take off too much of her hair, but i think taking the crop to just above where your email address is will make her look more comfortable. P.S. loving the non-white backgrounds... :P |

Re: Kerrie
Good work here David. My only question is not for you but for her: why oh why does a girl as beautiful as that with stunning eyes think she is 'adorning' herself by sticking bits of metal through her lip? She doesn't need any of that and it spoils her look.
Anyway, back to the pictures, the one I like least of these three is actually the first one, I don't like the way she is standing. It works ok in the front shot (3rd pic) but not so well in the side on shot. I wouldn't crop the 2nd one at all, it looks better showing the full length of her hair. I wonder if maybe you have lightened her eyes a tad too much but nevertheless they are absolutely stunning and I can see why you wanted to photograph her ![]() If I am in any way critical of her as a model it would be that I think she has a much better upper torso and head/face than she does legs and butt, I would focus on waist up shots where she is much more photogenic in my opinion. Great work ![]() Rob

Re: Kerrie
If Kerrie wants to model, she needs to go to school and learn makeup and posing.
Her hair is to be blunt, unattractive. The poses appear awkward. In the first one, her right hand appears to be coming out of her abdomen and her elbow from her back. The pose itself is unappealing. In the headshot, her hair ruins it. In the last shot, again, an unappealing pose. And her hair and hat seem to emphasize a prominent cheekbone, whe she really doesn't seem to have in the other photos. So, at 5'9", she would really be good for fashion modeling, but she desperately needs to learn her craft before anyone will look at her. And to be blunt, she should not even think of using these images for her book. Sorry. David....I am not trying to be nasty here. I just want Kerrie to go to modeling school! skip |

Re: Kerrie
you know the one thing that strike me in all of these images. is that in all of them her facial expression never changes. i think she has the most beautiful eyes, but the bland expression she has takes away from the eyes....... she needs to be more expressive. and look as if she is actually enjoying what she is doing.

Re: Kerrie
I think you have mastered the lighting and camera controls brilliantly but with this model you have missed the mark for the poses by quite some margin.
Both the first and third shots make it look like she is all twisted and they are very unnatural. In the first one it looks to me like she is suffering from stomach ache while her arms are distracting. Her facial expression as says to me that she had not settled in properly at this point of the shoot, she almost looks startled. Compared to your other models I am guessing that this young lady (with her being new) was far harder to control and make feel comfortable in front of the camera. That is apparent in the shots for me. I think if you shoot with her again you will probably get better results as she will be more relaxed and more confident as well. Those results should, i hope be worlds apart from these ![]()
