Ladybirds
Just about to go to bed, then i though ti'd offer this one up for the critics. This is a strange image for me, in the way that i have no real thing for it. It's not an image that inspires, however there is something about i like looking at. I only took it because the family and i were on a walk and the eldest son (18months at the time) decided he was scared of both the leaves and the ladybird. I then decided to take a pic to show him later in the how to be a man talk we'd have when we got home (that never happened).
Any way, i'm sure someone can point out what's wrong...(or right) with it! (i just can't put my finger on it).

Re: Ladybirds
Hmmm......
I see what you mean, this shot does have a certain alure to it. I find the water droplet on the right a little distracting so I would probably crop it out leaving the purple tiped leaf in shot. I thnks it's the water droplet and highlight on the ladybird itself that keeps me looking at this pic.

Re: Ladybirds
I agree with Nick that the leaf and water drop on the right of the shot is drawing some of the attention away from the ladybird which should be your main subject. I also think that a slight adjustment to the shadow contrast on the ladybird and a small amount of shrpening will make quite a big difference to the shot.
