the last of the flowers

I caught these last few flowers last week after our first snow.

It could have used a little more DOF but I still like the mood here.

Think the flowers really need to be closer - now if you'd moved one pace to the left...........

In any event, I do like the sad "end of season" feel to this with the weather beaten blossoms.

I agree. I would like to see a little more of the snow sitting in the flower and fade out to the snow on the ground.

Amazing that color like that is still lingering when you get snow. Maine has varying shades of brown right now and a big storm coming in two days.

couldn't have picked a better backdrop to bring out the red though!
