Learning Colour

The idea is nice (dab of colour in an otherwise 'normal' country scene) but it needs to be more obvious what the colourful item actually is. On my monitor, and at that resolution, it just looks like someones taken a bit of bright paint and spilt it on the photo.

Polariser needed too IMO, but then I love polarisers.

Composition wise the horizon is too central, needs to be on a third usually.

there is a nice split of texture and colour there, though as Sammy says, the horizon is too central

I don't think the red poles work in that landscape and the other thing which is distracting is the red blob on the horizon towards the right hand side.

Apart from that, as has already been said, there's a nice mix of colour and textures. Well spotted

Thanks for the comments.....

I have improved the shot somewhat by toning down/desaturating the red posts & I fully accept the critisism re the central horizon.
