Leeds Brewery Wharfe
Not much one can do with a grey, overcast day so a mono conversion seems appropriate. This was Sunday afternoon. Would appreciate any comments on the treatment or any other aspect for that matter, thanks for looking.

Re: Leeds Brewery Wharfe
I like this a lot
I quite like it as is, but to take up Summerleft's cropping suggestion, it could be done just above the second roofline. |

Re: Leeds Brewery Wharfe
I think Graham has got it right with his suggestions but I would also like to see the buildings on the left and right straightened. I do not lke the slightly converging verticals at the edges. At the moment they look as though they will fall into the river.

Re: Leeds Brewery Wharfe
Yup, it's the CVs that first struck me, everything else I really like. I personally like the sky as it is and wouldn't crop any of it off or else you'd have to lose part of the top roof on the right. Having said that, if you pull out the CVs you're going to lose that anyway so might be ok.
I must say I could live with the CVs on the right and just pull out the left side a touch because they are further away and are thus more noticeable. Close up to a wall, we expect to see CVs anyway so they aren't such a problem. Love this shot overall, it's got a tremendous atmosphere about it. Cheers, Rob

Re: Leeds Brewery Wharfe
Funny how we are all different isn't it? For a reason I cannot explain I like CV's
![]() That is not to say that I don't like straight tho, I like both - it's just that CV's mostly don't bother me. Sometimes they can add to a picture too. |

Re: Leeds Brewery Wharfe
I agree in a way bit I like them either very obviously converging or parallel. It is slightly converging ones that bother me. As you say thank heavens we are not all the same.

Re: Leeds Brewery Wharfe
Appreciate all your comments and I can see both sides of the discussion regarding CVs. I like both depending on the image. In this case I was using very wide angle and wanted the effect. Another problem is that when you have straightened the image you invariably have to crop and thus lose the full wide angle effect. Anyway....here is the straightened version.
