Lights on the Runway
What do you reckon?
![]() The light trail is a Ryanair 737 on its way to Dublin I believe. Taken at Prestwick Airport. C&C good or bad please! Last edited by Markulous; 17-09-2007 at 18:39. Reason: Resurrected the pic! |

Re: Lights on the Runway
Flippin' awful Sweet, that red cross on a white background just lacks a certain punch!
In other words, where's the picture? ![]() Edit added 19th Sept: Ah, that's better Are you sure this was RyanAir? It looks like a scene from Superman with him shooting off after his quick change routine ![]() I must admit I don't go a bundle on the light trail here just because it's all rather too horizontal and straight across the middle of the picture with nothing else to give it a sense of dynamism. If the plane was taking off and you had got a streak of curved light that would certainly work well. Sit around and wait for it to come back <g>

A little too much going on, so confusing things, I fear!

Re: Lights on the Runway
time lapse night photography is so cool. Just mind not to get caught up only in the time lapse effect and remember to create a piece of art as well. If there was any way at all to catch the curving upward take-off of the plane against a more interesting background I'd try. Keep playing with it.

Re: Lights on the Runway
Hmmmmm I did put it in the abstract section!
Problem with night trails is finding a good location to get something interesting, anybody know anywhere good in Glasgow?! |

No, don't know Glasgow but what you want is a little height (so looking down on some light trails) and quite a bit of surounding/ambient light (so image doesn't have any dark areas). Curving roads (always look good) and if traffic is slowing (brake lights can be good) |
