Loch Doon Castle
although it was very hot here yesterday ( 27degrees) it was very very hazy which didint do anything for my photos!
However as always i will produce SOMETHING! lol This castle was originally built on an island in the Loch, but in the 30's they built a dam and raised the water levels. so each stone was numbered and it was rebuilt on the shore. More of hte dam to follow still in the processing stage! CnC as always of the honest variety pls. ![]() |

Re: Loch Doon Castle
Really nice photo. The only thing for me is too much lawn in the foreground. I reckon if you crop out 2/3 and slightly on the sides may be the the way to go. I love your castles and old building photos. The hazy background is really good for this photo

Re: Loch Doon Castle
Nice one Fiona
Cropping some FG out, putting the doorway on the third More saturation Burn the sky + dodge the clouds Burning the mountains should bring out more detail. Then I'd like to see the result ![]() |

Re: Loch Doon Castle

Re: Loch Doon Castle
I agree with twiggs and charlotte. Cropping and putting the entrance in the thirds would work.
Rather than burn the hills, maybe dodge the castle. Other than that, it is a "nice" image, but doesn't pack a whole lot of emotional content for me. Sorry. skip |
