Re: London Eye 2
I like the angle of the shot Phil so the composition is fine. I just feel it was taken a tad too early so there is still a lot of light in the sky. This means parts of the wheel really don't stand out that much. Half an hour later I think would have made it darker for contrast but still just enough texture in the sky to make it look balanced.
Don't get me wrong, it is a very pleasant picture. I just think the above might have improved it slightly. Still good work ![]() Cheers, Rob |

Re: London Eye 2
Actually, I like this one just because it IS different. It looks like a big bicycle wheel.
There is not a lot of tonal range here because of the time of day, but it is still a cool image of the much imaged wheel. skip |

Re: London Eye 2
Good composition, I go with Rob, a little later in the day could have improved it. It's a delicate balancing act though as I like the "spokes" and wouldn't want to you to have lost them against a much darker sky.
Good shot. |

What rob said, my thoughts precisely. Would be interested in seeing some wider crops if there isn't a reason for the tight crop...

Re: London Eye 2
Sorry that was the full picture .I had the camera in portrait because i could not get it
all in. Thanks for the comments and taking the time to express them. The day was grey and as it darkened the sky changed to what you see there,I think i will go back and photograph later when the light is clearer, as you advise. Regards Phill (bugdog). |
