Re: making an ass of it
Lovely shot Fi. I know it's a tiny thing but clone out that red bit in top left corner. Red draws the eye to it and can be very useful to make something stand out but we don't want that here. Nice catchlight in the eye that creates a stronger connection between animal and viewer.
Nice work, Rob |

Re: making an ass of it
I like this capture, Comp and exposure look good. The head fills the shot nicely and good contact as covered by Rob above

Re: making an ass of it
Great shot Fi, only thing I would have liked is for the focus to be on the eye, other than that

Re: making an ass of it
Great shot Fiona
(I'm so glad I learned that smilie )Composition could not be better. Fab colours, tones, exposure, DoF, BG, crop ... just about everything is spot on One suggestion: I find the row of bright bits at the top edge distracting - clone or crop them out? A crop would work I think - even though you'd lose the tops off his ears, this would still look ok IMO. Although if you'd done this, I'd probably be the first to comment on the chopped-off ears ![]() ![]() Excellent work, very well done. |

Re: making an ass of it
No way should you crop the ears!
![]() But actually, I don't mind the light bits because they are just behind the dark ears and provide a contrast. If they were darker the ears would blend with the BG. But could make arguments both ways on that one. Not a big prob for me anyway ![]() Cheers, Rob |
