Took this shot a few days ago but a lot of the area was closed off as work was going on, just as well this was the weekend, funny, the place comes to life again in a couple of weeks with tourists, think they couldn't have done that in the winter months when the place is quiet Anyway took this shot with 5 different exposures & then merged them together using layer masks & came up with this, what do yous think ? interested in any c&c, thanx for looking & for your help.

Know how difficult it is to get shots like this with the extremes of light and dark, so for a good looking result!

Works well for me! I really like the figure/ground aspect of the light and dark in the centre.

Cheers Les, this cave sits right underneath the castle, it also has a opening at the very back of the rock so you can gain access to it, lets a bit more light in to, but i still couldn't find that seagull.

Never seen her, with the great gift you guys have got is there anything yous think i could improve on etc in this image, its right on my doorstep so i can go back to it again?

I think it's pretty good as is, but with regards to improvements, I'd say perhaps just a teeny bit of detail in the big black shape on the right (and perhaps some more on the left) would stop it looking like just that.
