Re: Mono re-edited.
Most definitely a major improvement Simpbow, the walls really draw you straight through to the gateway and beyond. The composition is much better, the reduced amount of sky and with a bit of toned down detail really makes a difference.
Huge improvement, very well done. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Mono re-edited.
Understanding Exposure by Brian Petersen is written in the most godawful style but the man has some great knowledge to give if you can get past the way he gives it

Re: Mono re-edited.
I tried playing with your Image a little and found that just B&W without the blue tone looks a lot better (IMO), it gives a dramatic look. try it you might like it. other than that I think you captured it well

Re: Mono re-edited.
You've certainly increased the level of white in the stonework which highlights the line along the top of the wall and around the archway. Must be honest and say I prefer the slightly more subdued version that Sotelo did, actually closer to your own as well the first time round.
But of course that's just a matter of personal preference really. What really matters is you are learning a lot from the things you have read and gone and tried which is what will make you a better processor in the long run. Well done, Rob ![]() |
