Mono at Rosslyn

do your worst, first time i have ever used a 10 - 22mm.......... borrowed it for a couple of shots! wished i hadnt cos i want one even more now

That is really good Fi, very nicely composed and that lens has done it justice. This only looks good big as here. When you showed it to me earlier it was much smaller and didn't work half as well. I like this a lot, loads of detail and the artificial lighting isn't too bad, a bit strong on the left but I can live with it.

You did a good job in difficult lighting. Obviously the top is very dark but it doesn't matter as the eye is drawn down and into the shot. Good stuff

I have said this before - I am not a fan of mono. Technically it looks very good but I would have preferred to see some more detail in at the top where it is very black. It looks as if there is some detail there you could rescue

I do however much prefer the golden colours of the first set you showed.

10- 20MM GREAT LENS, SO WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BUY ONE? YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE.

lol woody............ it will be a good while until i can even come close to affording a second hand one! much tho i would love to have one cos it really does suit my type of phtoography!

THAT MAYBE YOU COULD PART EX FOR THE 10-20MM

not that would come close to covering the value Woody, all my lenses are the very basic of lenses, its only recently i managed to upgrade the bog standard kit lens!

Nice shot, like this a lot.

It looks slightly pincushioned to me but that adds to the depth and makes the chapel look slightly bigger than it is (like a lot of the watercolours done of it) so the overall efect is nice.

Definitely has great impact. Very cool, and good conversion. You could also make it into a letterbox pano by cropping just above the bottom arches

I remember the same story over the new camera body, replacement for kit lens, new PC

I give it 2 weeks before our Fi has a 10-20 in her kit bag

hahahah........... well this time its definately a LOT longer cos the funds just arent there. I have had to start working full time just to make ends meet never mind fund photography!

hahaha well im secure in the knowledge that i havent any money so u lot can take all the bets you want, it aint gonna happen ( and i dont have any long lost wealthy uncles who have just popped their clogs and left me a stash of cash!)
