Re: More Bluebells
Another nice one Roger. The only thing I find a shame about shooting bluebells is the fact that they never seem to come out the colour they really are....

Re: More Bluebells
Weird light under the trees but the scene looks pleasant enough!

Re: More Bluebells
Ah but then Jack what colour are bluebells? Indeed for that matter, what colour is anything? The colour bluebells appear in morning sunlight is enitrely different to their colour at high noon and again at sunset. I believe I am right in saying that the specific blue-purple hue of bluebells false very close to the edge or even outside the gamut of both sRGB and Adobe RGB so a certain amount of adjustment will always happen anyway.
And before anyone claims this is a drawback of digital, the exact same problem arises for film too. It is just a very unusual hue that is almost impossible to accurately capture. This particular one of Roger's has a rather yellow tone to it, partly caused by the contra jour lighting through the trees and also probably the time of day but Roger will have to confirm that one. It's got a gentle tone to it that is pleasing and although they are not immediately obvious, I love the couple sitting in the distance that are an interesting focal point beyond the trees and church. Nice work Roger ![]() Rob
