Motocross

Went to the First round of the highland motocross, this morning. Took about 400ish in total, don't you love digital. Havent been through them all yet but a couple caught my eye (taken at 28mm ), although a LOT are poorly focussed . Comments and critique appreciated as always.

Some good shots there, particularly the second which makes me feel that the bike's still moving.

Re: Motocross

Second shot is my favourite with the great low angle view, it would've been a very close call with the first shot if the bike and rider weren't so cramped in the frame, the flying mud is a real winner. 2 good and exciting action shots though....third shot enforces the fact that it's a tough sport.

Thanks, not easy to frame them the speed they're going at. I'd also set the central focus point which I think now was a mistake. Would probably have been better going for one of the points to the right or maybe just letting the camera decide. Ah well, I'll know for next time.

couple more

not getting any closer

Dod could you resize your images please.

They all exceed what is set out in the guidelines (160k).

If you don't know how to save for web to a particular file size, please follow the instructions below.

Photoshop
File>Save for Web. Select JPEG, set compression quality to maximum, and tick the ICC profile box.
Goto optimize menu (this is a little button above the optimized check box) and select Optimize to File Size> select Current Settings and enter the file size (max 160k for TPF).
Click OK, then Save, enter a name for the file, then save.

Thanks
