Hi Joe - Hope you don't mind but I've changed the URL tags to IMG tags so that the pics show in the post. Also the Photo Critique forum only allows one shot per day for critique. This allows for more extensive feedback without cluttering up the forum. Multiple shots should go in Photo Sharing. If you could try to remember that for the future please.....?

He's a handsome young chap & very photogenic. Think you've captured him spot no with that sparkle in the eye that makes a photo really stand out

I prefer #2 as he is not smack bang in the centre of the frame, I think it would be improved if you had composed the shot with him on the right looking back into the frame though.
I think #2 would also look great in b+w.
The focus on #1 looks a little soft but is clear and crisp in #2. Exposure on both shots looks very good only a little bit bright in his hair in #1.

If he were my son, then I'd be delighted with both of them.

Both great shots, but prefer #2. Agree with Matt's comments about looking into, rather than out of frame.

How did an ugly *** like you manage to get such a good-lookling boy?

Thanks mate im glad you like the photos too im very pleased to get good comments on my pictures and really happy also learning with my mistakes but thats all there is in life learn and improve thats why i put my pics here so that i learn more thanks a lot guys for the feedback

I guess im famous because i tought nobody knew how i look but anyway its what i tought i would get when i posted the photo ha ha i like the comment man and im glad you like the shot thanks

Dont mind at all but i have to learn how to do this mate because its the second time i posted a photo and its the second url i posted man img file you said i will try the next shot i will post promise no doubt about it thanks
