Re: Natalie
m have to say David this is probably one fo the first of yours i really dont like.. i dont like the pose. it makes her look like a tart........ and im not sure if its the lighitng ( unlikely cos u are normally spot on with your lighting set up) but her face is really flat and featureless ( well as featureless as a face can be while still having eyes ears nose and mouth.
her shoulders look too light compared to the rest of her.... nope sorry this justnt do it for me at all! Fi |

Re: Natalie
Hi David
I have to agree with Fi. There is something about this image that is not pleasing. One thing is the models face. I think that her chin is elevated too much, and she is sort of looking down her nose at us. There also has to be a better angle so that her nose doesn't look so prominent. The image is a bit overexposed, which flattens it entirely, and there are precious few shadows to give depth and interest to the model. Finally, it seems that all of your models are centered. If you put them off center a bit, it would create more interest and people who are looking at her book might stop and look a bit longer. And she seems a bit ill at ease. I don't know, there is just something about this that I don't like and I really don't know if I hit it. skip |

Re: Natalie
Sorry Dave, gotta go with the other two on this one. The lighting is too harsh and that is most unusual for you as your lighting is usually excellent. I personally really do not like the way she looks as though she is removing the bikini bottoms. As Fi said, it looks very tarty: I could live with her thumb under the band if it wasn't combined with the way the curve of the pants on the other side is revealing the join line between leg and body, just doesn't look right to me.
I wonder whether you have thought of using more props to give your models something to lean on, hold in their hands, etc in order to give a less centred style? Just a thought. Cheers, Rob
