Re: Night Shot

Yeah, worked fine, vk!

I'm sure that was me going around the corner, with the light trail - I recognise the indicators! Well, that is if I'd ever been to Tasmania!

I'd be tempted to try and bring out a touch of detail in the top right (the lights going up the hill) to fill some of the dark

Re: Night Shot

Good attempt at the light streaks here vk, the only thing I am not too sure about here is the lines going left to right in FG. The problem is, our eyes tend to follow lines and these take us straight out of the picture. They therefore act as a bit of a barrier to the lines leading straight into the BG of the picture down the centre.

Try positioning yourself just as you would if you were taking a photo in the daytime using the road as a lead in line. This will then work just as well, if not better, at night with the light lines leading the eye through the picture. Curved lines work really well if you can find a suitable road that snakes through the picture.

Good effort here, let's see some more

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Night Shot

this is nice but i kinda agree with Rob, i find my eye being continually drawn back to the light streaks at the front so that im not really "seeing" whats behind them.....
