Re: Nikki
Hi Dave!
I have been a fan of all the recent shots with Nikki, some of the outdoor ones were excellent infact. I think the problem with this photo is it all seems a bit flat to me; giant black couch-thing, grey background and Nikki's outfit is very bland too. Also, her head/neck seems a little crooked but that could be easily rectified in another shoot. I think the overall idea is good though, with the chains and all, perhaps it just needs a little imagination and you'll get a great shot from it! |

Re: Nikki
I don't mind this shot but it does almost appear painted, may be my monitor or the low res for web conversion.

Re: Nikki
I agree with sweet and bags. It is a tad flat, and it looks to me like one of those old Varas drawings from Playboy (not a bad thing at all).....going back to my youth!
If the black and white points were set this would be a sellable picture. I really like the pose and background. The curves of the black object contrast nicely with the rectangles above, and the lighting up there is wonderful. Maybe, once again, her look could be more involved in a feeling of slight (?) wickedness. Anyway, I really like this. It is a bit different for you. Maybe that is just our wickedness? ![]() skip |

Re: Nikki
Yes, the range is very mid-grey and the lighting is not as strong as it needs to be here. The brightest point of the picture (which tends to draw the eye) is actually the top right panel and a touch to the right of her left hand.
The pose is interesting enough so well done for going for something different. It is just the lighting that lets this one down. Cheers, Rob |
